Questions and Answers from the Writerspace live chat with Berkley/Jove authors on 05.04.06:

BadBarb — Lynn will you please tell us about your newest release?

Lynn Kurland — BadB, here goes. Much Ado in the Moonlight is about a woman who gets to do Hamlet in an English castle only to find out that it's haunted by a rather grumpy Highland ghost.

RobinDOwens — Oooh. Do we get time travel, too?

Lynn Kurland — Robin . . . always! Someday I'll get back to a straight historical or a straight contemp but I can't seem to leave the tt alone. Kind of like chocolate.

cphasit — Tell me more about your book.

Lynn Kurland — cphasit —— Of a grumpy highlander or doing Hamlet in a castle with ghosts? If it's the former, I think all Highlander ghosts should be grumpy and if it's the latter, it just seemed like a good idea at the time!

Cathryn L — Can you tell us who you'll write about next?

Lynn Kurland — Cathryn, it's all Nicholas, all the time. Hope you'll enjoy.

Cathryn L (*and a bunch of us worldwide*) — WOOOOHOOOO!!!

BadBarb — Lynn, what is your favorite thing about doing time travels?

Lynn Kurland — BB, I love time travels because . . . it's the ultimate fish out of water story. Good for laughs, good for a little angst, great for some blooming where planted. But mostly because they make me laugh.

BadBarb — Emma and Lynn, how did you come up with the storylines for your current books?

BadBarb — Any chance of you doing a time travel where they travel into the future?

Lynn Kurland — Barb, Much Ado is sort of a spin off from an earlier book. I just thought it would be ironic to have Hamlet done in a castle with real ghosts. As far as tt to the future . . . I don't know. I'm more of a fantasy gal than a sci—fi gal . . .

BadBarb — Lynn and Emma is there a genre that you would like to write but haven't yet?

Lynn Kurland — Badbarb . . . it's a good question. I'm very happy doing romance and fantasy right now. Maybe a screenplay? (A girl can dream!)

margaretanne — Do either of you have a favorite book that is just dearer than the rest in your heart?

Lynn Kurland — Margaretanne . . . I love LOTR and Beauty by Robin McKinley.

italianprincess — Authors, When did you get started in writing and how long have you been writing?

Lynn Kurland — IP . . . I dreamed about it in high school, started seriously toying around with it in '89, sold in '94.

snowdrop44 — Lynn, have you switched mort to contemporaries or just taken a sabbatical? I've seen few of your books lately.

Lynn Kurland — Snow——I haven't switched. I'm doing 1 romance a year and usually some kind of anthology, though I'm bagging that for awhile because it takes me longer to do a novella than a full—length book.

Cathryn L — Lynn does the Star book at the end of the year have the "2 Swords" gang, or some new people?

Lynn Kurland — Cathryn——it's the start of a fantasy trilogy that will have the 2 swords gang rules but not the characters; it's set in a different century of that world.

BadBarb — Lynn and Emma, what are you working on?

Lynn Kurland — Badbarb——I'm working on cleaning my house after my last bout of ignore—the—clutter—until—the—deadline's—over.

Lynn Kurland — :) Actually, after the house is clean and I can find matching socks for my children, I'm going to start work on another romance with a hero named Nicholas.

vampgirl — Lynn, will we be seeing more of Royce and Nazir?

Lynn Kurland — vampgirl——I don't think I'll do much with Nazir except maybe as a cameo at some point, but I have thought about Royce. I've got to get with the program with him.

Cathryn L — Lynn are Kendrick & Gen cameoing again someday?

Lynn Kurland — Cathryn——I hope so re Kendrick & Gen!

RobinDOwens — I need to dig up Tapestry. From this Moment On is a favorite read lately, and I want to reread Jason's story.

Lynn Kurland — Robin——I have to admit that's my fav short (Tapestry is). I try not to get too enamored of characters, but I have to admit I love Jason. What a guy.

Lynn Kurland — This was such a nice chat——thanks everyone, so much! Happy reading! 'Night, all . . .
